The conservation pject consisted of cleaning and waxing of two outdoor, bronze statues. The first one was  'Yngling' by Ingebrigt Vik and the second one was 'Mor og Barn' by Gustav Vigeland.

The aim of the treatment was to clean the statues of any surface dirt and remove any deposits of corrosion to make the surface of the statues more uniform. The statues would be waxed to protect the surface form more corrosion and again to improve their aesthetic appearance.

The statues were washed with water and a biodegradable detergeant. Corrosion and old was layers were removed using scalpels and various tools. The surface was viped with white spirit to remove any possible wax residues before the rewaxing of the statues. Microcrystalline was was used for rewaxing and the wax was melted using heat guns.
